Formatting & Printing Your Family History – Arwen Newman
If you have ever had the desire to create a written family history, this workshop will focus on using word processing software to make your writing life easier. We will explore formatting, layout, inserting photographs and other material, and automatically creating tables of contents, indexes, and foot/endnotes. Demonstrations will use Microsoft Word 2007; however, the skills and terminology will apply to ANY software! We will also explore options for getting your work printed.

Meets at University Medical Center, 1501 N. Campbell Ave, Room 2117.
University Medical Center (UMC) is located on the west side of Campbell Ave. between Speedway Blvd. and Grand Road. Enter the UMC main entrance on Campbell Avenue and go west past the elevators. Turn left (south) and go clear to the end of the hall to just inside the doors which lead outside. Turn right and go toward the Medical School Library. Just before you enter the library, go left (south) down the hall to Room 2117, the last room on the right. The UMC Visitor’s Parking Garage is free on Saturdays.
